Pet Food Manufacturer Expanding, Adding Jobs in Georgia

Hi-Tek Rations, a manufacturer of private label and branded pet foods, will invest $1.5 million to expand its operations in Dublin, Georgia, according Georgia economic development officials. The company plans to create 30 new jobs with the expansion. "We are proud to be able to continue to grow our business here in Georgia," says Leonard Powell, president of Hi-Tek Rations. "We started our business in Laurens County 20 years ago and have found an outstanding environment for growth. We look forward to continued success." The company has purchased a 30,000-square-foot space adjacent to its current plant and will renovate the building to accommodate clients and to add a new product line. The project will double the company's current production. Officials did not release information regarding financial incentives.
