Toy Maker Hasbro Creating 284 Jobs in Rhode Island

Toy maker Hasbro is investing $24 million and creating 284 jobs in its headquarters state of Rhode Island. The company will receive more than $1.6 million in sales tax exemptions towards the expansion.

"We are pleased that the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation recognizes the importance of Hasbro expanding in the Ocean State," said David Hargreaves, COO of Hasbro, Inc. "Rhode Island has been our home since 1923, and we look forward to continuing to being an active and important part of this community."

Hasbro is based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It produces toys such as Transformers, Nerf, Monopoly, and G. I. Joe.
