Aviat Networks Moves into LEED Certified Silicon Valley HQ
06/17/2010
"We have strong ties to the [Silicon Valley] community which have been critical to our company's continued growth and success," said Harald Braun, Aviat CEO. "As a leading hub for research, cutting edge technology, and investment, we believe this is the best place to relocate our headquarters."
The new space is Gold LEED certified, and the company has emphasized the environmental friendliness of its facility and location. Construction and office materials use recycled and green materials, and the headquarters is one block from a light rail stop to encourage employees to take public transportation.
The facility also uses natural lighting and solar panels, water efficient bathroom fixtures, and recycled water for landscaping.
