"Elkhart is perfectly situated between major glass areas of Toledo and Chicago, both with large residential window manufacturers which is the prime market for our tempered glass," said Joseph Santelli, CEO of Santelli Tempered Glass.
The company will invest more than $3.7 million to lease and outfit the 32,500-square-foot plant. It will hire machine operators, plant managers, and maintenance staff. Operations will begin in July.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation has extended up to $250,000 in tax credits to Santelli. Elkhart will also offer property tax abatement requested by the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County.
Santelli has headquarters in Monessen, Pennsylvania.
