07/18/2013
HVCC is a 70-percent owned Korean-based enterprise of automotive supplier Visteon Corporation. The plant currently has nearly 500 employees and produces climate products including heating, ventilation and air conditioning units and front end modules for various vehicle manufacturers.
This is the second major expansion since Halla Visteon Climate Control Alabama Corp. was established in 2003. The first, in 2007, added nearly 130,000 square feet.
"Our plant in Shorter is a vital operation for HVCC in North America and serves an important global customer base," said Brian Sullivan, president of Halla Visteon Climate Control, Americas. "With a focus on delivering high-quality products and solid customer service, employees at this plant over the past decade have helped achieve significant growth, and this expansion enhances our ability to serve customers in this key market in the future."
