Pizza Maker Expanding, Adding 300 Jobs in Wisconsin

Kraft Pizza Company, manufacturer of the DiGiorno frozen pizza brand, will expand its manufacturing plant in Little Chute, Wisconsin. The company plans to add 100,000 square feet for two additional production lines, with full operations planned for April 2009. Approximately 300 new jobs are expected as a result of the expansion. "This is an exciting day that highlights Kraft Pizza Company's strong heritage and continuing commitment in Wisconsin," says Tim Cofer, the company's president. "We make almost all of our Kraft Pizza Company brands in Little Chute and Medford. We also purchase more than 75 percent of the cheese we use in our pizzas from Wisconsin." Construction is underway at the plant and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
