07/29/2010
The company is also investing in its Welland facility with $9.5 million in capital improvements. It plans to spend another $6 million for the remainder of fiscal year 2011. Lakeside produces tubings and casings at the plants.
Lakeside selected Thomasville for its proximity to raw goods suppliers and customers. The facility will be the city's largest industrial employer when completed. Construction will begin in the fall, and production is scheduled to start by December 2011.
