Kearneysville, West Virginia Nabs UK-Based Randox Facility

Randox Labs, a Northern Ireland-based healthcare firm, has opened a 30,000-square-foot facility in Kearneysville, West Virginia. The project represents a $7 million investment, and will create 130 jobs within the coming two years.

"West Virginia is a good location," said Dr. Peter Fitzgerald, Randox CEO. "It's quite close to a number of Institutes of Health in the Washington area, and the transport links are quite good as well."

The facility will house technical support, research and development, and sales and marketing divisions, and will ultimately include manufacturing capabilities.

Approximately a quarter of Randox's business is in North America, according to Fitzgerald.
