South Carolina Furniture Manufacturer Will Create Over 100 Jobs With New Expansion Project
09/29/2011
The company makes furniture used in the hospitality industry, healthcare sector and student housing. It has been in business in South Carolina for more than 50 years.
"We are always thrilled to see one of our existing businesses grow its presence in our state," said Gov. Nikki Haley. "We celebrate Dillon Furniture Manufacturing Company's decision to expand and create more than 100 new jobs here."
General Manager Howard Carr said this expansion will help Dillon meet increased customer demand for its products. Why stay here? "South Carolina has consistently provided us with a business-friendly environment and skilled talent," he explained.
The state of South Carolina provided Dillon with training funds and job development credits, available when hiring targets are met. The county gave the firm a fee-in-lieu-of-tax agreement for the new capital investment.
