The company, which utilizes technologies including gamma, e-beam, EtO and X-ray sterilization of surgical supplies, committed to creating at least 12 new jobs and retaining 17 more positions over the next three years through the expansion in Butler County.
“Synergy provides significant value-add to local and regional manufacturers that now can get state-of-the-art e-beam sterilization services close to where their products are made or distributed. The demand for our services has been so high that we are doubling our current capacity and increasing our workforce,” said Gaet Tryanski, President, Applied Sterilization Technologies - Americas, Synergy Health.
“We are building a stronger Pennsylvania through supporting businesses that demonstrate a commitment to innovation and bold invention,” Community and Economic Development Secretary C. Alan Walker said. “Today, we celebrate another economic success in southwest Pennsylvania and we are proud to partner with Synergy Health to bring new jobs to Butler County.”
The company received a funding proposal from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development consisting of $24,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits. Synergy has accepted the funding proposal, but must still apply for the tax credits and agree to the terms prior to award receipt.
