Modular Mining Opens Customer Experience Center in Tucson, Arizona

Modular Mining, the global leader in the delivery of real-time computer-based mine management solutions, unveiled its new Customer Experience Center in the company’s corporate headquarters in Tucson, Arizona.

“Our new Customer Experience Center is designed to showcase how mine management solutions can improve the safety, efficiency, and productivity of mining operations, and help our customers do so sustainably,” said Jorge Mascena, President & CEO, Modular Mining. “Today’s announcement marks our third major renovation project in six years at this facility. Tucson is evolving into a key mining technology hub, and this expansion demonstrates our commitment to leading this transformation as a long-term member of this community.”

Established in Tucson in 1979, Modular Mining Systems, Inc. is the market-leading provider of powerful information management solutions for surface and underground mining operations, driving value in the key areas of production, machine guidance, equipment health, and operator safety. Employing over 800 employees in 10 globally-distributed offices, Modular Mining leverages data and innovation to optimize the mining value chain in real time. The company was purchased by heavy-equipment leader, Komatsu LTD, in 1996; the partnership enabled Modular Mining’s technology to support the world’s first autonomous mining trucks. Today, that partnership thrives as the companies continue to collaborate to improve operator safety and site efficiency for miners across the world.
