10/28/2024
The investment includes the construction of a new asphalt facility adjacent to the company’s existing location on 1490 Kershaw Camden Highway. Operations are scheduled to begin in January 2025.
“We are amazingly blessed with this opportunity and wish to thank the S.C. Department of Commerce, Lancaster County, Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd and First Citizens Bank for their assistance,” LCI-Lineberger Construction, Inc. President Kim Lineberger said.
To support the project the Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded a $100,000 Set-Aside grant to Lancaster County to assist with the costs of road and water improvements.
“Congratulations to LCI-Lineberger Construction on this expansion which builds on the company’s decades-long legacy in our state. We are grateful LCI is investing and creating 30 new jobs in Lancaster County and are proud to support the company’s growth in South Carolina,” noted Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III.
LCI specializes in road construction and site development for customers throughout North Carolina and South Carolina.
“The success and continued growth of LCI-Lineberger, a woman-owned company, is most definitely something to celebrate. Kim Lineberger sees the value of not only having her business located in Lancaster County, but also as the place to continue to expand the business footprint,” Lancaster County Economic Development Coordinator Amy Carnes added.
