Orgill, Inc. Plans $15 Million World Headquarters In Collierville, Tennessee
10/29/2015
"Our company is excited to remain in Shelby County and to continue to do business in Tennessee,” Orgill’s Chairman, President/CEO Ron Beal said. “We have built a business here and relationships that we expect to last for years to come. I want to thank officials with the state and local governments for their assistance during this process."
Founded in Memphis in 1847, Orgill distributes hardware and home improvement products to customers in all 50 states, 10 Canadian provinces and over 50 countries throughout the world. The world headquarters provides support to its six North American distribution centers and manages all business activities that extend beyond physical distribution. Orgill plans to begin construction on a new, approximately 100,000 square foot office building in 2016. The company expects to move into the new facility in the fourth quarter of 2017.
“We want to thank Orgill for its new investment in West Tennessee and its continued commitment to our state’s dedicated workforce,” said Governor Bill Haslam. “It says a lot that Orgill is building a new world headquarters right here in our state and creating more than 100 new jobs in Shelby County. We look forward to building upon our strong partnership as we work toward our goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”
“Tennessee prides itself on being the top state in the nation for overall infrastructure and global access making it a great fit for a company like Orgill,” Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd said. “Orgill’s decision to not only remain in Tennessee, but to expand and build a new world headquarters in Shelby County will impact the community greatly while adding new jobs to the area workforce. I’m proud of the hardworking efforts of Shelby County, the town of Collierville, our local partners and the state, and look forward to Orgill’s continued growth and success in Tennessee.”
