10/29/2019
The company’s plans for a new campus in Dublin, which is pending the approval of incentives by Dublin City Council on November 4th, will support the company’s rapid growth and provide additional space for new employees, according to Columbus 2020.
The new facility also will provide additional geographic coverage and support numerous services such as inbound support for members of the Hagerty Drivers Club, servicing new and existing insurance policies, claims handling and technology development. As a purpose-driven company and brand, Hagerty prioritized finding a location that supports its culture and automotive passion. With the assistance of Site Selection Group, the company is currently in the process of finalizing a location for its Dublin operations.
“The Columbus Region’s vibrant business community, comprehensive automotive sector and impressive workforce make it a great fit for Hagerty’s company culture and mission,” said McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty. “We look forward to working with the people of Ohio to continue the nationwide growth of our company and our mission to expand car culture.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Hagerty to Dublin, where they will find a best in class talent pipeline, plenty of amenities and entertainment options, and a vibrant community,” said Colleen Gilger, Director of Economic Development for the City of Dublin. “We appreciate the large investment Hagerty is making in our city, and we know they will find great success in our thriving region.”
Headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan, Hagerty has offices across the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Germany. In addition to providing specialty insurance, Hagerty also offers the premier valuation tool for enthusiast vehicles, one of the highest circulation car magazines in the world, a popular YouTube channel with more than one million subscribers, the industry’s most comprehensive roadside service and DriveShare, a unique peer-to-peer online rental marketplace enthusiast vehicles.
“Hagerty’s unique business model requires highly specialized risk management and underwriting expertise, which can be found in Dublin,” said Dana Saucier vice president and head of economic development for JobsOhio. “This expansion will support growing demand for Hagerty’s services nationwide while bringing 127 new jobs to the Columbus Region, one of the nation's most prominent insurance clusters.”
