According to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Office, Buffalo Manufacturing Works and associated entities join the Northland Workforce Training Center, completing a key component in transforming the Corridor into a premiere model of industry-driven public and private partnerships to Western New York manufacturers.
The new 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is double the size of Buffalo Manufacturing Works' previous location on Main Street allowing for the continued collaboration and of Buffalo's finest advanced manufacturing firms, including: Buffalo Manufacturing Works, Insyte Consulting, World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara, Northland Workforce Training Center; and the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance.
President of Buffalo Manufacturing Works Michael Ulbrich said, "The expansion will increase Buffalo Manufacturing Works' ability to add more capabilities, serve more members and host customers at on-site private labs while projects are underway, as well as expand Shift services and grow its STEM Learning Lab, helping to spur growth in the region's advanced manufacturing sector. Our new space was intentionally designed to inspire innovation."
The $33.5 million project is being funded by Empire State Development Corp. and $6.8 million in historic tax credits with additional local loans and tax credits. Buffalo Manufacturing Works currently employs 32 people and is projected to add another 30 jobs with the expanded space.

"Advanced manufacturing and job training go hand-in-hand, and the new expanded location at Northland will provide the collaboration Buffalo needs to create good paying jobs and support further economic growth."
