PPD Inc. Investing $28M in Henrico County, Virginia

PPD. Inc. is investing $28 million to expand its Lab Services Division in Henrico County, Virginia. The company, which conducts drug discovery, development, and lifecycle management, will create 190 jobs in the next three years.

"This major expansion will continue to position PPD as a strong player in the life sciences industry, a target industry for Henrico County, the Greater Richmond region, and the Commonwealth of Virginia," said Governor Bob McDonnell.

Governor McDonnell has approved a $150,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to assist the county with the project. The Governor also approved a $500,000 performance-based grant from the Virginia Investment Partnership (VIP) program.
