Auto Supplier Expanding in Mississippi

03/24/2008
Vuteq USA, Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Japan-based automotive supplier Vuteq Corporation, will build a new manufacturing facility in New Albany, Mississippi, to supply the new Toyota plant currently under construction in Blue Springs. The $31 million Vuteq plant will provide more than 50 injection-molded parts along with the assembly of deckboard and various components. Company officials plan to begin production at the plant in 2009 to coincide with the Toyota plant's opening, and will create an initial 130 new jobs at full operation, with the possibility of up to 500 total jobs in the future. State economic development incentives offered to Vuteq USA include $1.5 million in infrastructure improvements and $3 million in tier-one supplier training funds. Vuteq USA also has facilities in Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and California.
