Headquartered in Ronkonkoma, Suffolk County, New York, with 2,042 employees across its 11 facilities on Long Island, the company sells its products in 110 countries around the globe. According to Empire State Development, Nature’s Bounty Co. contributes an estimated $300 million to the local and state economy through salaries and purchases of raw materials and services from a broad set of local suppliers.
To encourage The Nature’s Bounty Co. to expand on Long Island, Empire State Development offered the company a grant of up to $25 million, as well as up to $8.5 million in performance-based tax credits through the Excelsior Jobs Program and $1.5 million in tax credits through the Employee Training Incentive program. Over the next year, the company will create 157 new jobs and retain 2,042 jobs, while investing over $142 million to modernize and expand its Long Island operations and consolidate China and California operations into its Long Island facilities.
"Due to this project, The Nature’s Bounty Co. will continue to bring jobs, economic growth and opportunity to Long Island for many years to come,” said ESD President, CEO & Commissioner Howard Zemsky. “Our support will enable this New York-based company to expand and modernize its footprint right here in the Empire State.”
“The Nature’s Bounty Co. is proud of its great heritage on Long Island,” said President and CEO Steve Cahillane. “Our agreement with Empire State Development shows what government and business can do together to create jobs in New York and to help business grow and prosper. We are grateful to Governor Andrew Cuomo for his vision and commitment and we look forward to working together to grow our company globally from our manufacturing home base here on Long Island.”
