Avant Technology Expands Pharr, Texas, Manufacturing Operations

05/05/2026
Semiconductor manufacturer Avant Technology, Inc. plans to expand its operations in Pharr, Texas. The more than $20 million project is expected to create 250 jobs.

The investment at the company’s existing manufacturing facility will increase production of advanced semiconductor assemblies, including solid-state drives and memory modules for enterprise, automotive, and industrial applications.

“We are grateful for this support, which is fueling Avant Technology’s expansion in Pharr with new construction and advanced machinery,” said Tim Peddecord, CEO and President of Avant Technology. “This investment advances our technology, creates high-skilled jobs, and strengthens Texas as a hub for semiconductor innovation.”

To support the project, Avant Technology was awarded a $4.83 million grant from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund, tied to capital investment and job creation.

“Texas is the nation’s magnet for advanced manufacturing,” noted Governor Greg Abbott. “This expansion will generate hundreds of high-skilled jobs and create new opportunities for workforce training in the Rio Grande Valley.”

Avant Technologies provides IT services and software solutions for business and enterprise clients, delivering offerings such as application development, data management, and technology consulting. The company’s operations include system design, implementation, and ongoing support of digital systems.
