Maxim Crane Works Expands Wilder, Kentucky, Operations Complex

Maxim Crane Works, the nation’s leading crane rental and lifting services provider, will build a $4.71 million office complex and create 100 full-time jobs in Wilder, Kentucky.

According to the state’s Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, Maxim has operated a regional headquarters in Wilder since 1937. It is also where the company bases about 400 cranes for quick deployment to customers across the Eastern US.

Maxim’s growth projections, including organic and acquisitions, prompted plans to consolidate its operations and regional leadership roles into Campbell County with the construction of a 17,000-square-foot office, state officials explained. The new building on its Wilder campus will house executive and administrative staff and is scheduled to open late this year.

“Maxim Crane and the legacy brand of Carlisle Enterprises has been based out of the Northern Kentucky area since 1937. The prior and current ownership group of Maxim had the vision to acquire the property necessary to facilitate our growth strategy for the next 100 years,” said Bryan Carlisle, CEO of Maxim.

“This is a great day for Maxim, our employees and the state. We certainly appreciate the efforts and results that the Governor and his team have dedicated to our project and we look forward to great future for all parties involved,” he added.

To encourage the investment and job growth in the community, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) in March preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $2 million through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the agreement term through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets. In addition, Maxim can receive resources from the Kentucky Skills Network.
