Canadian-Based BOS Innovations Establishes Lexington, Kentucky, Manufacturing Operations

08/15/2026
Canadian-based industrial automation company BOS Innovations has established operations in Lexington, Kentucky. The $5.4 million project is expected to create 111 jobs.

The company’s new facility will be dedicated to automating advanced manufacturing across automotive, nuclear, defense, life sciences and other industries.

“More than ever, manufacturers are investing in automation that delivers measurable operational value, but realizing that value depends on successful integration,” said Ben Huigenbos, president of BOS Innovations. “This facility represents an important investment in serving American manufacturers more closely, providing a place where customers can collaborate with our engineers, explore proven solutions, and move forward with greater confidence in their technology decision.”

To support the project the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) approved an incentive agreement with the company under the Kentucky Business Investment program.

“Kentucky is a leader in the advanced manufacturing sector because of our diverse workforce, unique location and business-friendly environment,” noted Governor Andy Beshear. “I am proud to see that strong track record continue today for both manufacturing and foreign direct investment as BOS Innovations takes its next step forward here in their New Kentucky Home. Thank you to this company’s leadership for investing in our commonwealth and for creating good jobs for our people.”

BOS Innovations is an industrial automation and systems integration company specializing in the engineering and deployment of advanced robotic production systems. The company provides customized automation solutions, including robotics, laser, welding, precision assembly and advanced inspection systems, for industrial manufacturers.

“We are very excited to welcome BOS Innovations to the Greater Lexington region,” added Commerce Lexington Board Chair Nick Nicholson. “As one of the fastest-growing companies in Canada, this award-winning business has been on the cutting edge of industrial automation solutions for manufacturing firms. As our number one trading partner, the commonwealth already has a great relationship with Canada, and this new facility will further strengthen that bond. We look forward to helping the BOS Innovations team with their business needs as they grow right here in our own backyard.”
