Prime Therapeutics Opens Pharmacy Resource Center In Albuquerque, New Mexico

The firm helps people get the medicine they need and manages pharmacy benefits for health plans, employers, and government programs, including Medicare and Medicaid. The company also processes claims and delivers medicine to members, offering clinical services for people with complex medical conditions. Headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, it is collectively owned by 13 Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans, subsidiaries or affiliates of those plans.
Prime will hire 40 new pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and supervisors, who will be responsible for member counseling and outreach on medications received through PrimeMail, the firm’s home delivery pharmacy. An additional 40 pharmacists and technicians will also be hired to process prescriptions for Prime’s members.
“The hiring of 80 additional professionals at Prime’s Albuquerque facility demonstrates Prime’s investment in ensuring every member experience is superior,” said Duane Barnes, senior vice president, consumer delivery at Prime. “It also demonstrates our satisfaction in the quality, skilled workforce that Albuquerque offers.” Prime currently employs nearly 300 professionals at its Albuquerque location.
