Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions Plans Frisco, Texas, Technology Hub

Retail technology provider Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions plans to establish operations in Frisco, Texas. The project is expected to create 150 jobs in the coming years.

The company plans to increase its commitment to technology partnerships to incubate new retail innovation, according to company officials.

"As a recognized leader in digital transformation in the retail industry, we are focused on providing scalable, customer-centric solutions that deliver optimized experiences to meet consumers when, where and how they shop," says Rance Poehler, president and CEO, Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. "While many tech companies are cutting back, we are investing significantly and expanding to meet new demand created by our commerce platform recognized for accelerating digital transformation to deliver an exceptional retail experience."

Toshiba is the global market share leader in retail store technology. The company's innovative commerce technology enhances customer engagement, transforms in-store experience, and accelerates digital transformation.

The company's Durham, North Carolina location will continue to serve as the global headquarters.
