New Manufacturing Plant to Create Up to 120 Jobs in Scott, Louisiana
01/13/2012
Louisiana Plating and Coatings, a subsidiary of the company, will operate the plant after it opens by mid-2012.
Since 1988, HP&C has been providing electroless nickel, spray coating and additional corrosion protection services to petroleum equipment manufacturers, and others, in diverse industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, defense, electronics, marine, medical equipment).
"Today's announcement continues to send the message that we are coming back stronger than ever after the oil spill and the moratorium," said Gov. Jindal. "This job win will help our oil and gas industry continue to fuel the country, support thousands of jobs here and across the United States, and also create new opportunities for our people right here at home."
The company is receiving assistance from the state's Quality Jobs and Industrial Tax Exemption programs, while the state and Lafayette Economic Development Authority are helping Scott with a $920,000 Community Development Block Grant application (would provide site infrastructure improvements for the project).
