Norplas Industries Plans $81.75 Million Expansion At Its Two Michigan Manufacturing Facilities
01/24/2013
Michigan Economic Development Corporation said the company plans to invest $ 81.75 million and create 658 jobs. As an incentive the Michigan Business Development Program awarded the firm a $ 2 million performance-based grant. In addition, both Delta Township and Brownstown Township are offering support to the project in the form of property tax abatements. A comment from officials of the firm was not immediately available.
“Our reinvention of Michigan is all about more and better jobs for families and bright futures for our children,” Gov. Rick Snyder said. “At the end of the day, that’s what this announcement really means. The fact that these companies are choosing to stay and grow in Michigan reinforces our well-earned reputation as America’s comeback state. The commitment and innovation of these job creators, coupled with the high quality of Michigan’s talent, will keep our state moving forward. I applaud this tremendous investment in Michigan’s future.”
