AkzoNobel Expands Nashville, Tennessee, Manufacturing Complex
01/24/2017
“Through our products and customers, we are creating everyday essentials to make people’s lives more livable and inspiring,” AkzoNobel North America President Johan Landfors said. “With Nashville’s focus on sustainability and responsible growth, we have found a great match between the purpose and mission of our company and the community of Nashville. We look forward to growing with Nashville and welcoming new employees to our organization.”
“AkzoNobel has offered great quality manufacturing jobs in Nashville for years, and we are excited to see the company expanding its operations in Nashville to include more corporate functions,” Nashville Mayor Megan Barry said. “The company’s decision to relocate more operations in Nashville is a testament to our city’s workforce and our continued expansion into the global economy.”
“In Tennessee, one out of every eight residents with a job works in manufacturing and it is great news that even more manufacturing jobs will be created because of AkzoNobel,” said Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd. “I want to thank AkzoNobel for its decision to expand in Davidson County and for creating even more valued jobs for Team Tennessee.”
“TVA and Nashville Electric Service congratulate AkzoNobel on its announcement to build its presence and create new job opportunities in Nashville,” TVA Senior Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley said. “We are pleased to partner with the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to celebrate AkzoNobel’s continuing business success and commitment to grow in the Valley.”
