AkzoNobel Expands Nashville, Tennessee, Manufacturing Complex

AkzoNobel, a paint, coatings and specialty chemicals manufacturer, will invest more than $10 million over the next five years to expand production and create approximately 70 manufacturing and professional services jobs in Nashville, Tennessee.

“Through our products and customers, we are creating everyday essentials to make people’s lives more livable and inspiring,” AkzoNobel North America President Johan Landfors said. “With Nashville’s focus on sustainability and responsible growth, we have found a great match between the purpose and mission of our company and the community of Nashville. We look forward to growing with Nashville and welcoming new employees to our organization.”

“AkzoNobel has offered great quality manufacturing jobs in Nashville for years, and we are excited to see the company expanding its operations in Nashville to include more corporate functions,” Nashville Mayor Megan Barry said. “The company’s decision to relocate more operations in Nashville is a testament to our city’s workforce and our continued expansion into the global economy.”
