Titanium Manufacturer, Cristal, Invests $64 Million To Expand Its Ashtabula, Ohio, Production Facilities
10/14/2013
"This is an exciting day as this project will support increased production capacity by 20 percent," Cristal Site Director Scott Strayer said. "It will include building an air separation plant to support our manufacturing of titanium dioxide and allow the company to manufacture its own liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon as well as offer these new products to the liquid gasses market."
"This is great news for Ashtabula County and Ohio," Growth Partnership Executive Director Brian M. Anderson said. "Cristal is truly a global company and the fact they are moving forward with this investment in Ashtabula is a great story for how manufacturing can prosper and expand locally. Growth Partnership and the JobsOhio Network are proud to have been able to assist with this project."
Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County, Team NEO, JobsOhio and Hicks Partners collaborated to identify and secure incentives for the expansion project.
