D&H Distributing Plans Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, Operations Center
10/18/2019
Previously located in Harrisburg, D&H Distributing’s new two-building, 240,000-square-foot facility sits on a 50-acre campus and provides 77 percent greater capacity than its former location.
Since 2019, D&H has hired more than 250 employees, with 40 more jobs expected to be created in 2019. The new headquarters will allow further emphasis on innovation, work/life balance, company culture, productivity, and collaboration.
In August, the Department of General Services announced that the company’s former location at 2525 N. Seventh Street will become a new commonwealth office building. Once constructed, nearly 900 commonwealth employees will relocate to the building from the DGS Annex, the former Harrisburg State Hospital Grounds, and state offices on Herr Street and the Office of Medical Assistance Programs space in Camp Hill.
“We’ve been fortunate to achieve a certain cornerstone of our success. The new headquarters will enhance the daily experience of doing business with us, augmenting the team’s ability to deliver extraordinary engagement,” said Michael Schwab, Co-President at D&H Distributing.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate a new era of growth, prosperity, and service marked by this move, introducing our partners to the new offices through the D&H Fest event, so they can be more aware of our expanding ability to enhance their experiences,” said Dan Schwab, Co-President at D&H. “The new campus satisfies D&H’s long-term plan to serve the channel as a flourishing, evolving technology company. We’re an organization that has effectively adapted to market changes for over 100 years, and we’ve learned to look ahead and invest in our future, as well as in enabling our partners.”
“It is great to see a company that started here in Pennsylvania continue to expand in the commonwealth,” said DCED Secretary Dennis Davin. This new facility will benefit the local economy through the creation of new jobs, an investment in Lower Paxton Township that will have an impact for years to come.”
