Edwards Vacuum Selects Wheatfield, New York, for U.S. HQ

10/08/2010
Edwards Vacuum has broken ground on a $1.5 million plant in Wheatfield, New York, BuffaloNews.com reports. The high-tech company will consolidate its U.S. operations in the new Niagara County headquarters.

"I'm thrilled. These are good jobs that are staying in Niagara County," said Henry M. Sloma, Niagara County Industrial Agency board chairman. "We believe the decision by Edwards reinforces all the positive attributes of doing business in Niagara County."

Besides producing computer chips, Edwards sells a vacuum system that cleans byproduct gases and chemicals created by the chip fabrication process.
