Pioneer Aerospace Adding 50 Employees in Columbia, Mississippi

Pioneer Aerospace, a maker of parachutes, is expanding its Columbia, Mississippi, facility and creating 50 jobs, according to the Clarion Ledger. The company will invest $500,000 in new equipment at the facility, the Mississippi Development Authority said in a press release.

The company planned the expansion after receiving contracts to produce flare parachutes. It is also hiring more workers on its existing parachute production line to make cargo parachutes. Pioneer currently has 320 employees.
