Lowe’s Plans $25 Million Investment To Expand Its Albuquerque, New Mexico, Customer Support Center
11/14/2012
As part of its latest expansion, the company leased 32,000 square-foot-facility at 6401 Jefferson Avenue, NE, adjacent to its current 65,000 square foot customer support center complex. The company said its Albuquerque Customer Support Center provides multiple support functions for Lowe's including customer care, store support, internet sales support and repair services for customers. The facility complements Lowe's Customer Support Center operations in Wilkesboro, N.C.
"The talented, experienced workforce and availability of suitable buildings for our operations attracted us to Albuquerque. Having Customer Support Centers located in both the Mountain and Eastern Time Zones allows us to better serve our customers," said Don Easterling, Lowe's vice president, contact center.
In an earlier interview Gov. Susana Martinez said, "Lowe's is a welcome addition to the New Mexico business community, and we are pleased that they have decided to establish a significant presence in Albuquerque.
When the Lowes initially considered a New Mexico location, it received a package of tax incentives to persuade the firm to choose Albuquerque over other areas of the country.
