38 Studios Aims to Initiate Video Game Cluster with Providence, Rhode Island HQ Selection
11/03/2010
"Providence has some of the best students in the nation, a vibrant arts community, and a dynamic urban environment with easy access to public transportation. We look forward to working closely with the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation and local businesses in the months ahead to plan how our company's growth can also benefit the state of Rhode Island, " said Jen MacLean, CEO of 38 Studios.
The move will bring 450 jobs to Rhode Island, and contribute to the city's continuing downtown revitalization efforts. Providence's concentration of higher education institutions, such as the University of Rhode Island, Brown University, and the Rhode Island School of Design, helped 38 Studios select the city.
