Oil States International to Create 259 Jobs at Its New Colorado Manufacturing Facility

12/19/2011
Oil States International has announced it has acquired a manufacturing facility in Johnstown, Colorado, to provide additional construction capacity for its U.S. and Canadian remote-site accommodation markets. Located in Weld County near Denver, the facility is expected to create 249 jobs over the next five years. Officials said it should be operational first quarter 2012 and start production by mid-year.

President/CEO Cindy B. Taylor said the Colorado manufacturing facility will allow the company to take advantage of the area's highly skilled workforce, and "further facilitate planned capacity expansions in the U.S. shale plays and Canadian oil sands regions."

Oil States International is a diversified oilfield services business with prominent market positions in the Canadian oil sands and the Australian mining regions. It's also a leading manufacturer of products for deepwater production facilities and subsea pipelines as well as a provider of various other products and services to the oil and gas industry.
