Sara Lee Corp.’s $3 Million Plant Addition in MO to Create Up to 55 Jobs

Sara Lee Corp. is planning to build a $3 million, 29,000-sq.-ft. addition to its meat-processing plant in St. Joseph, MO, according to a story by the St. Joseph News-Press. The project is expected to create up to 55 jobs.

The newspaper article stated that the St. Joseph plant produces deli items and lunch meats, and presently employs 650 people.

Mike Cummins, Sara Lee's director of corporate communications, was quoted as saying the firm will publicly disclose details about the expansion at a later date.
