Paper Manufacturer, Mohawk, Upgrades Its Ashtabula, Ohio, Manufacturing Center

A manufacturer of fine envelops and papers, Mohawk plans to invest millions of dollars to upgrade its equipment at the company’s state-of-the-art, 1- million-square-foot, converting center in Ashtabula, Ohio, with plans to expand its envelope output in 2014.

The company said it will add 100 full-time positions, as Mohawk grows its envelope operation from a standard eight-hour day, five days per week, schedule to a new three-shift-per-day, seven days per week model.

Mohawk is looking to hire envelope adjusters, maintenance technicians, material handlers, envelope operators and die cutters. Company officials said “Mohawk continually sets industry-leading standards for safe operations and the company is known throughout the paper manufacturing industry for its state-of-the-art converting capabilities.”
