Grenada Stamping Plans Third Expansion At Its Grenada, Mississippi Operations Center
12/06/2012
The company’s Grenada operations are housed in a 300,000-square-foot main plant and a recently-renovated 40,000-square-foot facility. Its latest investment of $500,000 will accommodate an increase in its engineering, testing and manufacturing capabilities, adding 35 additional employees.
“We are most thankful to the Mississippi Development Authority, the Grenada Economic Development District and the Grenada County Board of Supervisors for their support on this project,” said Grenada Stamping General Manager Gary Houston. “The business climate in Grenada is without parallel and we look forward to continuing to grow in the community.”
“I commend Grenada Stamping for once again expanding its operations and for creating these new job opportunities for the area’s workers,” Governor Phil Bryant said. “This latest expansion is further proof that ‘Mississippi Works’ and that Mississippi offers businesses a dedicated workforce and a supportive business climate. I appreciate Grenada Stamping’s ongoing commitment to Grenada and to the area’s workforce.”
As an incentive Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance through the Community Development Block Grant program for upgrades to the county-owned facility in which Grenada Stamping is located in order to accommodate the company’s growth. Grenada County also provided assistance for infrastructure improvements.
“We are always proud to see our existing businesses expand and create new jobs, and Grenada Stamping’s ongoing investment in its Mississippi operations has had a notable and positive impact on the local community over the years,” said MDA Executive Director Brent Christensen. “We thank the company for being such a valued member of the state’s business community, and we thank our partners in Grenada County for working to make this latest expansion possible.”
