Church & Dwight Co. Expands Vitamin Manufacturing Facility In Jackson Township, Pennsylvania
12/09/2013
“The economic development assistance package from Pennsylvania will jumpstart the expansion of our gummy vitamin production facilities in Jackson Township,” said James R. Craigie, Church & Dwight’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “The gummy vitamin category is rapidly developing and this investment will play an important part in helping Church & Dwight Co. achieve its long-term goals for revenue and earnings growth, as well as cash flow. We are also pleased to create 180 new jobs that will have a positive impact on the community.”
“We are actively working with companies – from small businesses to major manufacturers– to help them create family sustaining jobs throughout Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is open for business and I welcome Church & Dwight’s continued investment in our commonwealth and its greatest asset - our people,” Gov. Tom Corbett said.
The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team. The Department of Community and Economic Development partnered with Church & Dwight Co. on a number of grants including an $86,580 Guaranteed Free Training grant to be used to train its new workforce.
Additional grants include a $900,000 Pennsylvania First Program grant that facilitates investment and job creation and $540,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits.
