Guardian Industries Investing $45M in Richburg, South Carolina, Glass Facility

Guardian Industries Corp. is investing $45 million in its float glass plant in Richburg, South Carolina, creating 50 new jobs.

"We are pleased to be able to expand our operations in South Carolina. Chester County has provided us with an excellent business environment and strong work force, and we are excited about increasing our presence here. Demand for our company's products is on the rise and our Chester County plant plays an important role in our overall operations," said Tom Wunderlich, plant manager for Guardian Industries Corp.'s Chester County facility.

Guardian will install an advanced technology coating machine to produce energy-efficient glass for buildings under the residential brand ClimaGuard and commercial brand SunGuard.

The company also has South Carolina facilities in Greer and Winnsboro.
