Hylan Expands Through Acquisition of Sterling, Virginia, Construction Contractor

According to company officials, the company offers directional drilling, trenching, cable placement, engineering and permitting, and restoration services to support underground construction for communications and electrical infrastructure owned by fiber carriers, data center operators, and federal organizations.
President Daryl Dunbar, who founded DUC in 1993, will remain in the same position post-closing. DUC will continue to operate under the Down Under Construction name.
Robert DiLeo, CEO of Hylan, said, "We look forward to working closely with Daryl Dunbar and the rest of the DUC team.The Mid-Atlantic region, especially dense metropolitan markets like Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Baltimore will likely attract significant communications-related investment in the coming years."
