Over the last twenty years GTS has established itself as one of the most up and coming defense technology companies in the world. It has twelve Offices located throughout the U.S. with four locations in Virginia Beach including the new corporate headquarters at Owl Creek.
Company CEO Terry Spitzer noted, “this is further validation of our commitment to serve the US Armed Forces with American made products. We are honored to be selected for this vital NPS effort that will ensure our Fleet is prepared for current and future global challenges. Our GTS team is recognized throughout the industry for our cutting-edge solutions to deliver game-changing development of an advanced portfolio of products and services that include next generation 5G technologies, micro servers, high performance computing, virtualization, encryption and secure communications.”
All work for the NPS contract will be performed at the current headquarters and its new $70 million Owl Creek manufacturing center upon it’s opening in the third quarter of 2020. This new 630,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility will be home to some of the most advanced manufacturing on the east coast and will deliver contract-required capabilities for computer processing and memory, data storage & extraction, network systems, and input / output interfaces to host Navy combat systems software applications.
GTS will also manufacture rotor-powered kinetic “green batteries” that can power lasers and other weapons without use of chemicals. When the battery factory is complete the company will be eligible for $7 million in state incentives.
Work on the NPS Contract is expected to be complete by March 2025. Funding in the amount of $110,242,536 was obligated at time of award.
