The new facility will serve the company’s existing markets while also expanding its customer base in the southeastern U.S., while increasing employment to roughly 150 people across its two operations in Illinois and Tennessee.
“The Banas family purchased Rockford Spring in 2007 and has been growing the 70-year-old company for the last 15 years. We would like to thank the state of Tennessee, local economic development team, Marshall County and TVA along with local contractors who have all assisted in bringing Rockford Spring to Lewisburg. We are thrilled to open our new division and welcome new employment opportunities enhancing growth and continuing the positive culture we thrive to achieve. Rockford Spring looks forward to becoming a productive part of Lewisburg and striving to take on a supportive role in the community,” Rockford Spring Company Vice President Dave Lester advised.
“With more than $26 billion exported in manufacturing goods annually, this industry is booming across our state. We welcome Rockford Spring to Tennessee and thank this company for its significant investment and decision to locate its second U.S. facility in Lewisburg,” said TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe.
Founded in 1952, Rockford Spring Company manufactures custom precision springs and wire forms for the automotive, agriculture, firearms, hydraulics and outdoor power equipment, as well as many other industries.
“TVA and Lewisburg Electric System congratulate Rockford Spring on its decision to locate operations and create new job opportunities in Marshall County. Helping to attract and retain jobs and investment to the region is fundamental to TVA’s mission of service. We are proud to partner with Middle Tennessee Industrial Development Association, Marshall County Joint Economic and Community Development Board, City of Lewisburg and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development to further that mission and celebrate this announcement together,” said John Bradley, TVA senior vice president of Economic Development.
