Chemical Manufacturer Moving Headquarters to Louisiana

Bercen, Inc., a supplier of chemical products to the paper industry, will move its corporate headquarters to its existing manufacturing plant and customer service center in Denham Springs, Louisiana. The company will invest $5 million to add 13,000 square feet of office and laboratory space to the Denham Springs facility. More than 20 new jobs at an average annual salary of $90,000 will be created as a result of the relocation.The Advocate newspaper of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, reports that Bercen will receive state incentives that include $1.2 million in payroll credits against tax liability and $500,000 for infrastructure and relocation expenses.
