Barefoot Carriers Invests $2 Million To Expand Ripley, Mississippi, Operations Center
07/24/2014
“The transportation of goods is part of the backbone of the American economy, and I am grateful to the Barefoot Carriers team for growing its operations and strengthening its roots in north Mississippi,” Governor Phil Bryant said. “In Mississippi, we take pride in providing our businesses with a strong, supportive business environment in which to operate, and this expansion serves as a testament to that. I wish Barefoot Carriers many more years of success in Ripley.”
“Barefoot Carriers is grateful for the blessing of this opportunity to expand. We would like to thank to thank Governor Phil Bryant and MDA Director Brent Christensen along with all the others involved for their assistance with the infrastructure improvements,” said Barefoot Carriers Vice President Chase Massengill. “We are thankful most of all that we can say in Mississippi ‘in God we trust’ for our strength and growth.”
The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance in support of the project for infrastructure improvements. Tippah County provided assistance, as well.
“Mississippi’s small businesses are the backbone of the state’s economy, and we are glad to have assisted Barefoot Carriers as the company expands in Ripley,” said MDA Executive Director Brent Christensen. “We thank our partners in Tippah County for working with us to bring this project to fruition.”
