Azuria Water Solutions Expands Batesville, Mississippi, Operations

05/17/2026
Infrastructure technology company Azuria Water Solutions plans to expand its operations in Batesville, Mississippi. The $80 million project is expected to create 50 jobs.

The investment will include the construction of a 72,000-square-foot Fusible PVC Pipe manufacturing facility, located adjacent to the company’s existing site and operated by Underground Solutions, that will produce products for water, sewer, conduit, and utility infrastructure systems. Operations are scheduled to begin in early 2027.

“Azuria and Insituform have been a part of the Batesville community for nearly 40 years, and this new facility is a testament to our ongoing confidence in the state of Mississippi,” said Rob Tullman, President and CEO of Azuria Water Solutions. “We are excited to expand our footprint in the region and welcome new Underground Solutions team members to the family.”

To support the project, the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is providing assistance through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program, along with infrastructure support. The city of Batesville, Panola County, AccelerateMS, and the Tennessee Valley Authority also are assisting with the expansion.

“Projects like Underground Solutions move forward here because we align the right partners and deliver the workforce and infrastructure companies need to succeed,” noted Mississippi Development Authority Executive Director Bill Cork.

Azuria Water Solutions provides maintenance, rehabilitation, and replacement services for water and wastewater infrastructure systems, supporting municipal, industrial, and utility customers through pipeline repair and infrastructure management services. The company’s operations include inspection, engineering, trenchless rehabilitation, and construction for underground utility networks.

“TVA and Tallahatchie Valley Electric Partnership are excited to welcome Underground Solutions to Batesville. We are proud to partner with Mississippi Development Authority and Panola Partnership in our shared commitment to fostering economic growth in the region, and to support companies like Underground Solutions. We celebrate this announcement together and look forward to the company’s future business success here,” added TVA Vice President of Economic Development Heidi Smith.

“The significance of Underground Solutions’ investment in Batesville goes beyond job creation, it’s about expanding access to careers that require precision, technical skill and long-term growth potential. AccelerateMS is committed to working alongside partners to ensure the people of this region are prepared to succeed in these roles, strengthening both the local workforce and the industries that depend on it,” said AccelerateMS Executive Director Courtney Taylor.

“The recruitment of Underground Solutions is a clear reflection of our region’s strong workforce pipeline and business climate,” noted Joe Azar, Executive Director of the Panola Partnership.
