Boral Composites Building Second East Spencer, North Carolina Facility
08/10/2010
"We are excited about this new opportunity in North Carolina as it is consistent with our overall U.S. growth strategy," said Mike Kane, president and CEO of Boral USA.
The company chose the site partly because of local support.
"We selected this site because of the support from local, county, and state government agencies; our long standing ties to the community through our Boral Bricks business; the availability of a skilled and able work force; and a desirable geographic location to efficiently service our customers," said Brian Below, Boral Composites general manager.
The plant will be built to LEED standards, and will produce exterior building products made mostly of recycled and renewable materials.
