xByte Technologies Expands Bradenton, Florida, Facilities
08/15/2013
The firm, which specializes in providing Dell, HP, and IBM used servers, server parts, storage and storage parts, relocated to Manatee County in 2003. Its new, 30,000 square foot facility in south Manatee County will include expanded staging and fulfillment areas, larger warehouse facilities, and additional testing areas. xByte currently has 31 employees.
“This is a great region for us, and we are continuing to grow our sales locally, as well as nationally and internationally,” Stephen Jaynes, the firm’s chief operating officer said.
“With its facilities expansion and addition of 10 employees in the past three years, xByte Technologies is on its way toward achieving the goals that led to the company’s qualifying for economic development incentives through Manatee County Government in 2010,” said Sharon Hillstrom, president and chief executive officer of the Bradenton Area Economic Development Corp.
The EDC assisted xByte in applying for performance based incentives and in finding a larger facility in the Bradenton area. “Incremental, organic growth of existing businesses like xByte Technologies is the foundation for creating a sustainable local economy while we continue to recruit new employers with growing businesses to the Bradenton area,”Hillstrom said.
"This is good news on a number of different levels," said Manatee County Administrator Ed Hunzeker. "New private sector jobs are being created which will give an extra boost to the local economy. This announcement is another example of how the County worked with the EDC to pinpoint a set of economic development incentives to assist a business that will foster positive growth in our community."
