Auto Part Supplier Continental Creating 100 Jobs in Fletcher, North Carolina
08/19/2010
"When we hire people, we look for them to be with Continental for a long time. The average length of employment is about 10 years," said plant manager Bobby Nelon. "I am very pleased that we have the chance to offer such stable employment to the people of the western North Carolina area."
Continental announced a $30 million expansion at the facility last summer. The project will add a total of 325 jobs there in the coming years. It will also add a production line to build combination calipers, a melding of a caliper and a parking brake that improves vehicle efficiency.
