Vanee Foods Company Invests $8 Million At Its Broadview, Illinois, Manufacturing Plant

09/11/2014
The Vanee Foods Company invested $8 million in a new state-of-the-art, high-speed hot fill bottling line at its Broadview, Illinois, manufacturing facility.

The 64-year-old company manufactures shelf stable entrées, gravies, sauces, soups and soup bases. The Company serves a diverse customer base, from co-packing for leading global food brands to developing custom formulations for national and regional chain restaurants.

The new line will fill bottles ranging in sizes from 8 fl oz up to 1 gallon and offers a capacity of over 60 million pounds per year. Vanee Foods expects their new hot fill bottling line to be operational at the end of September.

“We worked closely with best-in-class equipment suppliers—like Pacific Packaging and Fowler/Zalkin—to build out this line. The high speed and operational flexibility of the line provide the low cost structure and customer responsiveness that Vanee Foods is known for in our other packaging formats” said Alex Vanee, Vice President of Operations.

“Hot fill bottling is a logical extension of our capabilities. This line gives us new avenues for growth in all of our primary business segments, including co-packing, custom formulation for chain restaurants, and broadline foodservice” said Luke Vanee, Vice President of Marketing Communications. “With a much broader set of manufacturing capabilities, we can expand on our existing partnerships and establish new ones.”
