Valvoline Plans Cincinnati, Ohio, Headquarters Operations

09/11/2026
Automotive and industrial solutions provider Valvoline Global Operations plans to establish operations in Cincinnati, Ohio. The project is expected to create 54 jobs.

The company will renovate approximately 50,000 square feet at 312 Elm Street for its new global headquarters.

“Today marks an important moment for our company,” said Valvoline Global Operations President and CEO Jamal Muashsher. “Expanding our presence in Cincinnati and creating our Americas Hub in Lexington provides the space for our teams to better collaborate, innovate and operate more effectively, which will ensure we continue providing top-tier support for our customers worldwide.”

To support the project, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a 2.000 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit.

“When a 160-year-old global brand decides where to put its global headquarters, it’s choosing where its future gets made, and Valvoline Global chose Ohio,” noted JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “Cincinnati puts the company's leadership minutes from its largest production facility, backed by the talent pipeline and innovation network that a worldwide leader in automotive and industrial lubricants needs to keep growing. This is what happens when a state builds an ecosystem, not just an incentive package — and it's a sign of more to come.”

Valvoline Global Operations is a manufacturer and provider of automotive and industrial lubricants, fluids, and related products for consumer and commercial markets.

“The decision to relocate Valvoline Global’s headquarters to our region reflects the strength of our business-friendly environment and our growing prominence as a $10.6 billion global hub for chemicals and materials manufacturing,” added REDI Cincinnati President and CEO Kimm Lauterbach. “We’re proud to become home to a company that has earned the trust of millions of drivers and supports industrial operations around the world.”
