Online Marketer Yodle Doubles Its Charlotte, North Carolina Workforce
10/07/2013
"Yodle is making this investment in Charlotte because of the availability of strong qualified talent and the friendly economic climate cultivated by the city. We are committed to capitalizing on a significant opportunity in the local online marketing space and our expansion in Charlotte will play a critical role in helping us meet our goals,” Yodle CEO Court Cunningham said.
The firm said most of its staff in Charlotte work in the sales and client services departments, with the remainder in HR, IT, office management and operations employees. The majority of new hires will be in sales with the rest of the recruits mainly working in client services. Charlotte is one of six offices that Yodle has across the country that currently accommodate more than 1,100 employees.
"I am delighted that Yodle plans to double the size of its Charlotte workforce, a move that will create jobs for our residents and boost our local economy," said Charlotte Mayor Patsy Kinsey. "Yodle's expansion, which comes just six years after the establishment of its Charlotte office, reflects the business-friendly environment we have worked to create in Charlotte that continues to attract innovative and rapidly growing companies."
"Charlotte is becoming an increasingly big technology hub, and I am thrilled that another leading technology company has committed itself to the Queen City," said Mecklenburg County Chair Pat Cotham. "I look forward to seeing Yodle's continued success in Mecklenburg County."
